Day 2 of Pacific Coast Hwy

After a restful night in Carpintera we headed towards Slovang a cute little Dutch town for some coffee and breakfast... and a little shopping :)

Then off to Moro Bay, a quaint little town on the ocean with lots of sea lions. No matter where you were in town you could hear the barking of the sea lions.

Several miles down the road we saw scarecrows on the side of the road, LOTS of scarecrows, this of course peaked our interest and we went to explore Cambria and Moon Stone Beach.

Seems a little out place amongst all the scarecrows

The wheels on the bike actually moved!!

Continuing down the hwy...to San Simeon, where Hearst Castle (next blog) is located and further down the coast to Piedras Blancas to see the elephant seals.

Finished off the day at Ragged Point Inn, a GORGEOUS resort.

We ate dinner at their restaurant and had freshly caught halibut (DELICIOUS!!!) and wonderful wine made near by in Paso Robles called Opolo red Zinfandel (if you ever get a chance you should try it!)
